Modernizing the digital experience for a growing aviation brand.

Project Overview

A more refined website for a brand built around service, precision, and growth.

Modern Aviation is a growing FBO network focused on delivering a better experience across private aviation services, locations, and real estate opportunities. As the company expanded, the website needed to do more than present information. It needed to reflect the quality of the brand, make services easier to understand, and help users move quickly from exploration to action, whether they were booking reservations, evaluating a location, or researching aircraft support.

Blennd partnered with Modern Aviation on a full website redesign and development initiative focused on modernizing the visual system, improving the user experience, creating a more intuitive CMS foundation, and supporting mobile responsiveness and SEO best practices. The goal was to create a digital experience that felt as polished and operationally thoughtful as the in-person experience Modern Aviation provides.

The Challenge

The brand was evolving quickly, but the site structure and experience needed to catch up.

One of the core challenges was structural. As the site evolved, key content around FBO services, MRO, military, and locations had started to overlap in ways that created redundancy and unnecessary clicks. The team specifically identified “in between” pages that added little value, and there was active discussion around clarifying the difference between services and locations so users could get where they needed to go faster.

There was also a clear need to elevate the design language. The Modern Aviation team wanted the experience to feel more modern and sophisticated without restarting the project from scratch. That meant refining typography, introducing more dimensional photography, improving the map interaction, simplifying the FBO services experience, and making MRO, military, and standard location pages feel more consistent and useful.

The Solution

A cleaner, more scalable system built around clarity, consistency, and modern presentation.

Blennd streamlined the site architecture so the experience felt more intentional and easier to navigate. The FBO services section was simplified into one main page with three clear sections: aircraft services, hospitality services, and real estate, with anchor links that take users directly to the right section. At the same time, unnecessary intermediate pages were removed, and MRO and military pages were reworked to align more closely with the location page structure, putting critical details like contact information first and supporting forms and overview content beneath.

Visually, the site was pushed toward a more premium and contemporary feel. Blennd updated font treatments, added more photography to create dimension, refined the transparent navigation treatment, and introduced more thoughtful UI behaviors like a click-based map interaction on desktop and a region-based accordion solution on mobile. The result was a cleaner, more scalable design system that could support both current locations and future growth. The estimate also scoped a meaningful design and development effort, including up to 15 unique page designs and up to 20 layout builder templates.

The Results

A stronger digital foundation for growth, consistency, and easier user navigation.

The most important result of the engagement was a more coherent and elevated digital experience. The updated direction simplified how users move through the site, reduced redundant pathways, created more consistency between core page types, and better aligned the online experience with the Modern Aviation brand. The client team explicitly responded that the revised design direction was much closer to what they had been hoping for, calling out the added dimension, cleaner structure, and more modern presentation.

Just as importantly, the project created a stronger foundation for future growth. Modern Aviation’s team confirmed new locations could be added easily, and the broader build was structured around a manageable CMS, mobile responsiveness, SEO best practices, and scalable page templates. While I do not see hard post-launch performance metrics in the materials you shared, the project clearly delivered a more polished platform designed to support expansion, reservations, service discovery, and location-level updates more efficiently over time.
