About the role
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day leadership of website projects, including client communication, meetings, priorities, timelines, and follow-up
- Translate client goals into clear website plans and coordinate execution across strategy, UX/UI, content, development, QA, and launch
- Help shape website strategy by identifying what will improve usability, messaging, structure, SEO performance, and conversion performance
- Partner with internal designers and developers to ensure recommendations align with business goals, user experience, technical feasibility, and SEO best practices
- Guide clients through sitemap, wireframe, design, content, functionality, SEO, and launch-related decisions
- Help manage WordPress-based website builds, including familiarity with Gutenberg, ACF-driven components, custom post types (CPTs), staging environments, QA, and production launch workflows
- Keep projects moving with urgency, accountability, and clear ownership
- Contribute strategic thinking around AI, modern website best practices, and how changing search and discovery behavior should influence website decisions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in website project management, digital project management, UX strategy, or a similar client-facing role
- Strong experience with B2B companies, more complex websites, and projects involving multiple stakeholders and longer decision-making cycles
- Familiarity with website strategy, UX/UI process, content structure, custom design, development coordination, QA, and launch planning
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress, including Gutenberg, ACF, CPTs, staging vs. production environments, and common website launch workflows
- Understanding of technical and on-page SEO best practices as they relate to website structure, content hierarchy, page templates, metadata, internal linking, crawlability, site performance, and launch readiness
- Ability to think strategically about website performance across messaging, usability, conversion, content hierarchy, SEO, and user journey
- Strong client communication, presentation, organizational, and project leadership skills
- Comfortable leading both clients and internal teams in a fast-moving agency environment
- Actively uses AI tools and understands how AI is changing website strategy, content workflows, search behavior, and digital user expectations
- Bonus points for experience in complex B2B categories like healthcare, SaaS, technology, manufacturing, or professional services, plus platforms and tools like WordPress, Figma, GA4, Hotjar, and common SEO or website optimization tools

- Compensation: $40-65/hr based on experience
