Blennd is seeking a full-time SEO Account Manager to lead our SEO team, and develop and execute strategies to drive traffic and revenue for our clients. The ideal candidate has experience managing teams and providing innovative search strategies as part of an in-house team or in an agency environment. This is a management role that will directly oversee our SEO team. This role will be responsible for growing our client accounts and creating performance-driven marketing strategies based on data analytics and insights — providing measurable organic growth for clients based on their business goals and objectives.

/ Responsibilities

As an SEO leader, you will be accountable for deeply understanding our client’s business priorities, setting SEO strategies across a wide range of industries, overseeing the execution of those strategies with demonstrated business impact, and educating stakeholders about SEO. Candidates should have hands-on SEO experience (technical and content), including solving tough multi-domain, enterprise-level SEO problems, developing sound strategies to support traffic from the top to the bottom of the funnel, and educating and influencing a broad set of stakeholders. In this position, you’ll work closely with design, development and marketing web teams, SEO specialists and content writers to develop and executee holistic, scalable and impactful SEO strategies.

The SEO Account Manager directly supervises our team of SEO Specialists, Content Writers and supporting personnel. This role is responsible for assessing client goals, forecasting resource needs, and overseeing the execution of SEO strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly manage and supervise a team of SEO and content specialists who oversee the implementation of on-site and off-site SEO and content strategies
  • Forecast SEO and content resource needs based on team bandwidth, needs and department revenue, with a focus on strategically utilizing contractors to assist with overflow work
  • Oversee hiring and training of new SEO and Content team members (employees and contractors)
  • Provide recommendations to optimize user experience, design, content, paid advertising and marketing strategies using data collected from data analysis and research
  • Identify client business goals and KPIs and set corresponding measurable performance goals that are tracked against KPIs. Explicitly focus on providing valuable results to businesses through increased revenue, leads, deals and/or customers
  • Monitor and analyze ongoing SEO campaigns and marketing strategies to identify problem areas and suggest ways for improvement
  • Directly manage and build client relationships including presenting strategies, reports and insights
  • Strategize and implement ways to increase efficiency and profitability in the SEO and content departments
  • Collaborate with Paid Media and Digital Marketing teams to provide integrated marketing strategies, insights, and recommendations
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and assist sales and leadership teams in sales activities with a focus on contract renewals and new business for the SEO department
  • Provide cross-departmental training to all team members including educating the team on the latest best practices and trends
  • Lead internal SEO and content initiatives for Blennd, including identifying new opportunities, maintaining and overseeing the execution of content and SEO strategies, participating in leadership meetings, executing and delegating tasks related to internal marketing initiatives
  • Oversee the SEO team in conducting audits, keyword research, competitive research, blog topic research and providing SEO deliverables based on SEO strategies and plans
  • Build and execute SEO Marketing strategies and ensure they are executed within deadlines and client budgets
  • Optimize content, on-page SEO, paid search ads, and landing pages using data collected from SEO analysis and research
  • Maintain an understanding of client billing, current and potential contracts and department revenue. Assist with client billing and contracts as needed
/ EXPERIENCE
  • Must have professional experience managing an SEO team in-house or in-agency.
  • Must have experience with online tools, such as MOZ, SEMrush, Google Data Studio, Google Search Console, and more.
  • Must have experience configuring Google Analytics properties and other reporting / data tracking tools.
  • Must have working knowledge of SEO best practices and industry standards.
  • Must have at least a basic knowledge of WordPress CMS.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to interact and collaborate positively with fellow team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have quality written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to understand project needs and produce required deliverables.
  • Must have experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Must have strong critical thinking skills and be able to problem solve.
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or minimum four years experience in SEO field.
  • Preferred experience providing other digital marketing services such as PPC / paid media.
  • Preferred basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript.
  • Preferred experience with content management, such as copywriting and editorial calendars.

/ COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $80,000/year. Salary may be negotiable based on experience. The minimum salary does not include any other pay elements in which this position may be eligible.

/ HYBRID WORKPLACE UPDATE

Blennd is currently in a Hybrid / Flexible working model with offices in downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center. Interviews may be done virtually or in-person at one of our offices.
